Synastry

An astrological technique that compares two natal charts to examine symbolic relationships between their planets, angles, houses, and other chart factors.

In astrology, Synastry is the practice of comparing two natal charts in order to examine how the chart factors of one person relate to those of another. Astrologers may study inter-chart aspects, planetary contacts, house overlays, angles, and other relationships to explore patterns involving communication, attraction, tension, support, shared interests, or differing needs. Synastry is commonly used within relationship astrology, but it does not determine whether a relationship is destined, healthy, compatible, or certain to succeed. Its value lies in providing a symbolic framework for examining interpersonal dynamics and recurring patterns between two people.
