Composite Chart

An astrological chart created by mathematically combining corresponding points from two natal charts to represent the relationship as a symbolic whole.

In astrology, a Composite Chart is constructed by calculating the midpoint between corresponding planets, angles, and other chart factors in two natal charts. The resulting chart is interpreted as a symbolic representation of the relationship itself rather than as the chart of either individual. Astrologers may examine its planetary placements, houses, aspects, angles, and patterns to explore themes involving the relationship’s character, shared dynamics, areas of emphasis, and recurring modes of interaction. Composite charts are commonly used within relationship astrology as an interpretive tool and do not determine whether a relationship is destined, healthy, compatible, or certain to endure.
