Astrological Aspect

An angular relationship between two Planets or other points in an astrological chart, interpreted as describing how their symbolic meanings interact.

An Astrological Aspect is a measured angular relationship between two Planets, chart angles, or other points within a natal chart. Astrologers interpret these relationships as showing how different parts of the chart may interact, reinforce one another, create tension, or require adjustment. Common major Aspects include the conjunction, opposition, square, trine, and sextile, while some systems also use minor Aspects. The meaning of an Aspect depends not only on its geometric angle but also on the chart factors involved, the closeness of the angle, often called the orb, and the broader pattern of the chart as a whole.
