Planet in Astrology

A celestial body interpreted in astrology as representing a particular function, drive, or dimension of experience within a natal chart.

A Planet in astrology is interpreted as representing a particular symbolic function or area of human experience within a natal chart. The Sun and Moon are traditionally included with the Planets for interpretive purposes, even though they are not planets astronomically. Each Planet is associated with characteristic themes, such as identity, emotion, communication, relationships, motivation, growth, responsibility, change, imagination, or transformation. Its meaning is further shaped by the Zodiac Sign it occupies, the Astrological House in which it appears, and the Aspects it forms with other chart factors. Rather than being interpreted in isolation, a Planet is usually understood as one part of the larger pattern of the chart.
