In natal astrology, an angular house is one of the First, Fourth, Seventh, or Tenth Houses. These houses are associated with the chart’s four principal angles: the Ascendant, Imum Coeli (IC), Descendant, and Midheaven. Together, they help organize the chart around broad themes such as self and others, private foundations and public direction. Angular houses are often treated as especially prominent areas of the chart, although their exact relationship to the angles can vary with the house system being used.
