Astrological Axis

A line connecting two opposite points or angles in an astrological chart, creating a structural relationship between them.

In astrology, an Astrological Axis is formed by two opposite chart points or angles that create a line across the natal chart. The Ascendant and Descendant form one principal axis, while the Midheaven and Imum Coeli form another. These axes help orient the chart and establish important structural relationships among its major angles. Other pairs of opposite points may also be discussed as axes when astrologers examine polarity, balance, or complementary positions within the chart.
