In astrology, an Astrological Transit occurs as a planet or other celestial factor moves through the zodiac and forms relationships with positions in a natal chart or another reference chart. Astrologers may examine transiting planets by sign, house, aspect, and relationship to natal planets, angles, or other chart factors when exploring periods of emphasis, change, development, or reflection. Faster-moving planets may correspond with shorter cycles, while slower-moving planets can remain in contact with chart positions for extended periods. Transit interpretation is symbolic and contextual and does not establish that a particular event or outcome will occur.
