In astrology, the Tropical Zodiac is a twelve-sign zodiac system based on the seasonal relationship between Earth and the Sun. It begins Aries at the March equinox and divides the ecliptic into twelve equal 30-degree signs from that reference point. Because it is anchored to the equinoxes and solstices, the Tropical Zodiac remains connected with the seasonal cycle rather than shifting with the astronomical constellations over time. It is widely used in Western astrology and is the zodiac framework used by Zodiacology’s Free Natal Chart.
