Zodiac Signs are the twelve equal divisions of the zodiac used in astrology: Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces. Each sign is associated with a distinct symbolic pattern of qualities, characteristics, motivations, and modes of expression. In a natal chart, the Sun, Moon, planets, Ascendant, and other chart factors may each occupy a particular Zodiac Sign, and astrologers interpret the sign as helping describe the style or manner through which that chart factor may be expressed. A person’s commonly known “sign” is usually their Sun Sign, but a complete natal chart contains many sign placements whose meanings are considered in relation to houses, aspects, elements, modalities, and the broader chart pattern.
